Cheraine Baljé (1994, Alkmaar) is a textile artist hailing from the vibrant city of Rotterdam. With a deep-rooted passion for contemporary art and a profound appreciation for traditional techniques, she seamlessly blends the old with the new, resulting in captivating and thought-provoking creations.

Baljé’s artistic journey began at an early age, influenced by her grandma’s knitting, sewing and other use of textiles. Inspired by the possibilities that textiles provided, she soon found herself immersed in the world of fabric and thread. Her contemporary artwork serves as a bridge between the past and the present.
